Monsters – movie review

Six years after Earth has suffered an alien invasion a cynical journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through an infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

Here’s the review, this movie is not the usual monster movie you seen lately as it’s not as fast pace as movies such as “Cloverfield” but it does pull some chemistry strings between the two main cast to develop their “relationship” during the whole “event”.

The ending of the movie is spectacular & you have to watch this movie to know what I mean, you have to watch it again immediately.

The melodramatic events that keeps you in suspense & awe are not those actions sequences but the terrific acting & realistic background props with special effects.

For some, this may not be their cup of tea as it includes actual acting instead of random action sequences…this reminds me of the movie “The Mist” with good dialogue & chemistry.

Some special effects does look too obvious but the plot does give the sense of realism & give the “yes if it’s real & I will do what they did too” effect.

I enjoyed this movie as a suspense thriller with some romance added into the mix, very subtle realism background with extraordinary events.
