Iceland 2nd Volcanic Eruption causes worldwide air travel distruption.

Remember my previous post back in 21st March that almost predicted the 2nd volcano eruption and this time round confirmed that the volcano did erupt right under the glacier.

Floods had been reported and much of as ashes had disrupted air travel worldwide as the fear of the effects of ashes in the aircraft engines.

The ash cloud is drifting south and eastward over Europe. Although barely visible in the air, the ash — made up of tiny particles of rock, glass, and sand — poses a serious threat to aircraft, stalling engines and causing electrical failure, experts have said this week.

Well, as the previous prediction goes…the Iceland volcano might be a prelude to a much bigger eruption that may affect Greenland ice mass.

If Greenland ice slides into the sea, the world sea level might rise possibly 10 meters immediately, possibly causing huge tsunami worldwide.

According to Spaceweather.com High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras on April 17th when a coronal mass ejection (CME) is expected to deliver a glancing blow to Earth’s magnetic field. NOAA forecasters estimate a 35% chance of geomagnetic activity

(This is base on the assumption that CME & solar flares causes Earth core to boil & cause pressure to the earth crust making sudden earthquakes & volcano eruption)

The sunspot solar cycle peaked at January 2010 but dropped down to minimum on April but predicted to ramp up again.

There are not much scientific correlation between CME and earthquakes but the frequent CME happened between January to April coincides with multiple higher magnitude earthquakes from Haiti, Chile, Indonesia to China.

So with a CME hitting Earth today (17th April 2010), get ready for any possible major Earthquakes or Volcano eruption within these few weeks but don’t be alarm just be cautious with your food supply and emergency planning.

Possible Effects of Solar CME = Power outage?

I will list down news of events of blackout that may be related to the geomagnetic storm I mentioned in the previous post

7/03/2010 14:37 Power failure blights Ziggo television evening
It seems that almost all TVs in Ontario on Tuesday evening were a half hour to black. By a power failure in a distribution center of Ziggo had viewers from nine to half Elf have no image.

Only the regional stations L1 and ATVs were in the air, like the local broadcaster. . In total, 1.5 of the 3.4 million customers Ziggo no signal, even large parts of northern and eastern Netherlands were affected.

7:00 AM PDT, Wed, Mar 17, 2010 Bay Bridge in the Dark
It was a dark drive across the Bay Bridge this morning as the span was hit with a power outage.
PG&E said there are some areas of San Francisco that are also without power but they have not yet determined what caused the outage.
