Prediction for the future technology
I like to write predictions & probably add in some of my own very own “innovation” within it for the next 5 years.
Green technology will be more hands on, D.I.Y. style
My believe the greed of major corporations are one of the downfalls of green technology as they jacked up too much of the actual cost and pay too many middle men to distribute the green technology such as solar panels, windmills, sea wave generators, hydro generators & more.
The future of green tech will be “knowledge” based with millions of DIY projects videos up online free for people to learn & build it themselves and cheap courses to teach people how to be self sustainable yet able to use gadgets freely & cheaply.
Nano Technology based gadgets
With the new knowledge gained by nano technology, gadgets can be smaller & more portable and cheaper to manufacture & maintained. Clothes with nano cellphones embedded into their buttons & communicate with their own WIFI router with your digital 3D lens to give you a overlay of a screen that communicates with the Internet.
High resolution camera with night vision & 100x zoom attached to the lens of course is a bonus upgrade together with a vibration speaker attachment or earphone.
Future Battery
A tiny bacterium recovered from sediment may power batteries of the future. In a report published today in Nature Biotechnology, researchers describe a primitive microbial fuel cell that can convert simple sugars into electricity with 81 percent efficiency.
My prediction on this technology may means one day we might have bacterials battery that can be recharged multiple times simply by feeding it mentos into the bacterials battery cell bottle and charge my cell phone, computer or gadgets.
The Matrix – Innovation in green technology
Human body does have emit electrical impulses on their brains and have a body heat sufficient to be harvested to power electrical appliances, with some ingenious design of gadgets we can possibly harvest all sorts of energy from human kinetic movement to heat transfer to electric power.
The power may be small but together with whole BUILDING full of participants, electricity produced can means life or death in the future.
For examples, simple gravity assisted balls may turn turbines while moving down a roller coaster over a distances of loops but may use less energy to bring the balls up to the top levels and start over again.
Cyborgs will be out first in the market
Human addiction to gadgets may one day become a gadget themselves, this is not new to many science fiction fans but to actually be one is no easy task.
Human body does not blend well with metals & usually have bad side effects if the body refuse the gadgets embedded into your brain, arms or legs but with many people successfully installed robotic arms & legs that give users a fresh new beginning to their life is very very touching.
However, one day we might just WEAR these cyborgs exoskeleton on the outside of our body and move like a 2nd skin to ours giving us enhanced strength, speed and possibly accuracy in everything we do.
Just imagine a Mech Warriors style robot controlled virtually by just moving our hands & legs suspended in mid air? The coolness aside it may be even better being remotely controlled by a guy somewhere else but in a simulator box seeing everything the robot is seeing.
The problem with cyborgs is physiological with one day feeling that the robot is much more capable then the actual human will be a great depressing future but we cannot stop innovation.
Internet 2.0 will arrive
Whatever name you call it, it will be here faster then you know and we will be basking in it’s glory in due time.
The internet that give real time information & communication over the high speed network that allows you to do what you like when you like anytime anywhere.
Real time informations may means – micro blogs such as twitter, photographs, videos and audios stream seamlessly over the network freely and easily without constraint. Free version of the services comes with advertising while premium services are paid monthly.
Full body suits with internet filled with force feedback & sensors give users the feeling of surfing the multimedia world in real time with their whole body to experience it in comfort. (Simulated computer screen(s), simulated keyboard touch, simulated everything)
Knowledge they need can be pumped out quickly on demand & entertainment too…money can be made by content creators and that’s where advertising comes into play.
Original content creators license their content as creative commons but able to allow others to “remix” it and shared freely but with “shared revenue” from advertising.
ALL contents are feed in by users for users, companies simply need to make better & user friendly tools to make contents for the new internet 2.0 quickly & easily and given ample knowledge & passion a better internet will be born.
Internet controlled robotic may one day be a simple RPG game for some guy in a suit controlling the robot virtually inside the simulated controls of the robot in the comfort of his own home.
There are too many ideas that I can think of but the above is something I predict will happen in the near future.
Prince: “Internet Is Over” — NOT!
According to various news & blogs like mashable:
“The Internet’s completely over,” he said. “I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it, and then they get angry when they can’t get it.”
Prince’s new album, 20TEN, will be released as a CD to Mirror readers and the readers of various other print publications in Europe. It might be distributed via Warner Bros. in the U.S. This will be the artist’s 27th release.
Seriously, Prince is either a futurist or a singer who given up the future of the internet. In the past, record labels had signed up singers & rappers everywhere hoping for just one singer or a band to have a super hit album that can hit the charts & earn millions of dollars of CD sales more.
These days of the internet world it’s totally different, new singers makes their own music videos that place it in youtube that turns viral with google advertisements attached giving some subsistence to their talents & get gigs easily after that.
Prince either a very smart marketer or a very sore loser when he realized that people are using his songs on youtube, he freaked out and asked youtube to take it down….but the when people uses music on their videos in fact PROMOTES the music instead!
The past viral music video from the “JK Wedding Entrance Dance” spike the sales of the music used in that video!
My advice to Prince is to give up the traditional medium of advertising, break your record company contracts & release FREE music for budding musicians to mix your music covers & publish on youtube but negotiate with youtube to have a cut in the advertising returns from each videos if that is possible & NOTIFY the content creators that PART of the advertising revenues goes to the original music creator.
GIVE IT FREE! But of course states the rights of use as Creative commons with proper revenue streams via advertising.
The above revenue streams to content creators will also apply to Movies, Podcast, Music and others like television series.
People will get your music FREE legally spread them like WILD FIRE and EARN!
