Compiling Zombie movies!

I had always been fascinated with zombie films ever since I first watched Night of the living dead to feel the intense claustrophobic & trapped roller coaster ride.

My friend messaged be online to ask me what other zombie movies or television series are nice and I got SOOOO MUCH hence creating it below the list of all my favorite zombie movies / television series.

Below are picked by me & friends & you zombie movies from wikipedia!

  1. List of zombie movies in wikipedia

World Invasion Battle Los Angeles – Review

Is this movie is straight out of United States recruitment advertising firm? Muhahaha

That is my first thought after walking out of the theater.

I’m not saying I don’t like this film but there are too many parts felt too similar to other films making it pretty predictable hence the lack of “shock” in the theater but I spot a couple of tears by some kids.

This movie is like family safe for the kids to watch because there are not much blood in this movie…ok maybe a little…but not so much gore to the extend to make the zombie fans cheer.

The action is packed from the middle of the movie to the end but the dialogues may sounds flat & not well thought out but it may be like that in the real combat situation.

Plots full of holes I can easily put some scene totally out if you watch it with an analytical mind, however if you go in with an OPEN mind you can actually enjoy this movie!

What I am saying, put your brains back home when you watch this movie! Don’t put this movie through the mythbuster test.

For those who had SEEN this movie read below otherwise it’s “SPOILERS ALERT!”

The special effects may look familiar to youtube “UFO” viewers as it seems to had appeared several years back as the first viral “Haiti UFO”.

Any respectable UFO believer had long scrutinized the above video due to fact it’s using a advanced CGI software. (e-on Software)

The palm trees appeared in the 56seconds range.

So after determined that the movie uses some known CGI software “expertly” I must add plus some clever viral marketing on youtube, you get your mega block buster! :D

One of the 4 legs robots the aliens pushed around looked suspiciously like the “Big Dog” robotic mule that had been making it’s debut on youtube too!

Let’s list down the scenes where the director “copied” from other movies :D

  1. Black Hawk Down - Helicopter ride, Several soldiers trapped indoor with wounded & last scene
  2. Saving Private Ryan – For the small girl dropping from an height, the soldier with radio on high tower
  3. Independence Day – Stupid aliens to put all eggs in one basket (I mean mother ship)
  4. District 9- the special weapon system is amazing in District 9
  5. V- the television on aliens arriving on earth “in peace” as Aaron Eckhart looks suspiciously like Joel Gretsch

Overall, the movie is a mindless action packed military movie or should I say commercial for recruitment into marine.

It’s fun, exciting & get to blow some aliens *beep* off just like your xBox games! Ok, where do I sign?

Anyway, for people who seeking a deep plot with real science…you will be disappointed but for those who love to see another mindless action fun…go enjoy it! :D

Movie Industry need some tweaking.

I am a movie fanatic, I watch movies every single week and without fail as some new movies will be out periodically and for Singapore it’s usually Thursday.

The problems I faced lately is that I can’t seems to see any quality films coming out in Singapore every week!!

What did I get is more 3D films that occupies more theaters slots & re-release of old “videos” with extra footages (Avatar 3D, Titanic 3D & etc).

Now that this recent action movie by Donnie Yen, some movie theaters tried to re-release 3 of his old crappy action movies in a bonus cheaper tickets!! OMG!

Who are managing these crappy re-releases that can be easily gotten from local DVD stores!!

The Hollywood making lot’s of B grade 3D movies lately trying to capitalize with the success of Avatar and failed to understand that making everything 3D is not going to be successful.

Only animated characters can make 3D more “real” with depth but real life characters are ALREADY 3D!

Now, what’s happened to my routine is all broken due to the fact that there are LESS quality movies are hoarding the theaters and many old films that we had seen before which I don’t want to pay extra $ to see! (even with 8 minutes extra footages).

This means the movie theaters will be making less money on these failures and wasting lot’s of theater spaces for old films rehashed to 3D & new films taking up 2 theaters time slot just for one on 3D & none 3D.

These are wastage & must be eliminated.

Even hot favorite movies sequels (Resident Evil Afterlife) made in 3D are filmed in such a way that it will have scenes specially MADE FOR 3D effects that totally not original & almost felt like a SPOOF of The Matrix.

Next will be all kinds of movies made for 3D which looks nothing as good as the good old days that care more about the story instead of 3D effects.

Unless the 3D effects can be seen using special 3D glass that can be worn over my specs & able to be BRIGHTER & Sharper, I won’t watch another 3D movie.

If I’m the theater management, I will slice up the current theaters to EVEN smaller cubicles of 10 people and give us more choices of movies to choose from.

Maybe add in some force feedback chairs & environmental special effects like…shakes, wind, sound, smell & wave of heated air to add to the mix.

The number of movies list are fixed but which theater cubicles you go to depends on how many people bought tickets of the same movie.

Once 10 people bought tickets for xxx movie, their digital tickets will assign them their specific theater cubicles of 10 people.

That means the theater will never be wasted.

The tickets are assigned in such a way that 1 person bought movie yyy at time 10pm, a cubicle will be reserved for movie yyy at time 10pm and 9 empty seats will be there to be purchased.

Let’s say there’s 30 cubicles, one is taken for movie yyy and another 19 cubicles are available and 10 movies available then priority goes to 3 cubicles per movie.

However, if 3 cubicles are totally taken up for example the movie “Avatar”…that bad movie that are not doing well can donate cubicles to satisfy the demand for “Avatar” and make full use of the 10 empty seats that are prioritize for another bad B grade movie that nobody watches.

In this way, there will be less empty seats & more movies can be released at the same time without compromising the quality of the experience of movie going.

The movie theaters can hence continue to function more effectively and can be more profitable in the long run, but the Hollywood industry must be able to make more quality movies that give movie goers a much better excuses to watch it the theaters.

  1. Improve on the theater seatings into a smaller cubicles
  2. Improve on the 3D glasses to be brighter & can be used on glasses
  3. Have more realistic environmental effects in the theaters
  4. Get more new movies out every week
  5. Hollywood to reduce crappy B grade 3D movies that makes no sense to watch
