Just bought Eee-PC recently!!!
This is the “latest” ultra-portable notebook from Asus, presenting to you the Eee-Pc!!! The above photo is my Eee-Pc sitting on top of the macbook to compare the size and you can see it’s as small as a standard hard cover size. At 0.92kg, it’s lighter then most conventional notebook and it’s packing Linux Operating System instead of of the resource hog Window which is excellent!.
I had tested most of the functions such as surfing the internet (firefox), Email (Mozilla Thunderbird), MSN/Yahoo/Google/Skype, and their open source (free) spreadsheet/word processor/presentation software without any problems!
The downside is the following,
- Battery indicator is not accurate (Which might be able to patch in the future…I dunno)
- The voice command activation is not responding accurately
- Lack of a large storage space (Now I got 8GB SSD instead) which I need desperately for downloads.
- Installation of new software (not included as standard softwares) is a pain for those used to window.
- Speaker not loud enough even with ear phones.
- Small keyboard need some time to get use to.
The good features of this Eee-Pc is the following.
- Feather Light weight (0.92Kg)
- Small and portable!
- Fast boot up time!
- Smooth Running of all Pre-installed softwares!
- Great graphical User Interface which is extremely user friendly.
- Similar to Mac, the power plug is uniquely designed to suit international market.
- Built In Webcam & microphone for skype video conferencing.
- The super cheap price tag!!!!
This ultra-portable may not be the most powerful system in the market right now and not the most rich featured ones but the price tag is the killer for me. In the IT fair you can get this Eee-Pc (dunno which model) at about $300++, I got mine 8GB SSD model at SGD$698 at Sim Lim Square 1 week before IT Fair!!! I almost faint when I heard someone else got it half the price! Sucks to be so “kiasu” (scare to lose) and bought it too early.
Some Of My Old & Embarrassing Photos!!! Exposed!!
This photo on the left was taken when I am in primary school and we had 2 female cats that time!! They soon gave birth to 9 naughty kittens that terrorized the whole house with fleas!
During my primary school year at Jin Tai Primary, my hair was growing longer every day and because I was used to cut “botak” hairstyle…when it became long…I look like uber cool Einstein!!
I am always be bullied by my brother that time and called “3 layer beef meat” because of my fat stomach.
But after a while I started to slim down a bit thanks to Secondary school IPPT fitness exercise in Jurong Secondary School.
I first use hair jelly to stick my hair down to the sides and it remains there for a while…then I stop using it when the hair starts growing correctly.
This is taken at my old home at Jurong West Extension during Christmas times and I am posing like Aaron Kwok which is one of the heavenly kings of Canto-pop then joining Leon Lai, Andy Lau and Jackie.
My hair grew so long that my fringe will touch my mouth at one time if I pull it downwards.
This is taken at my Childhood friend’s house (Jimmy) who is currently my neighbor.
Gosh…I am very young then…and lean! Now i am like a balloon and overweight!!
How I wish time can reverse and go back to that state…maybe I can! Time for more jogging!!!
